Introducing Ms Dimanthi

Ms Dimanthi has recently taken over as Head of Year 9 and we asked her to answer some questions about her current and new roles at BSC 

How long have your worked at BSC?  

This is my 7th year at BSC 

What is your current position? 

Teacher in Economics and Business Studies, Head of Nobel 

What do you most like about your job? – 

I love being with students and help and guide them in the best way I can. I like to help others and do the smallest thing possible to make their lives better. Teaching students’ subject content and help them with their academic performance and helping them grow up to be adults with integrity, values, and see them achieve their goals is one of the ways that I can do it.  

Why did you apply for the role of Head of Year? –  

I thought it is an opportunity share my experience and add value to the school community in a different way than what I have been doing in the capacity of a house teacher, form tutor and a subject teacher.  

What are you looking forward to about your new position?  

I think it is exciting to work with Year 9s as I hardly get an opportunity to work with them. I am looking for the opportunity to use the skills that I have acquired over 10 years to guide and help them  

Tell us something unusual about you?  

Many, I can talk nonstop and rapidly for hours (sounds like rapping), I love travelling and dancing.
