Otto Dix – Social Criticism and War [1920-1924]

The Otto Dix Exhibition at the J.D.A. Perera Gallery promises a profound educational experience for students of art, history, English literature, and psychology. Otto Dix's work is a window into the tumultuous era of the Weimar Republic, offering invaluable insights into the socio-political climate of the time. He depicted its excesses and contradictions with a brave critical eye. We are currently planning to arrange a visit for Year 10 students from British schools to experience this exhibition.

Currently, our year 9 curriculum includes a lesson on Life Events, centered around the Guernica painting by Pablo Picasso.
