We value time spent talking within classes, perhaps as part of circle time, sharing problems and finding agreed solutions to issues surrounding pupils’ social life, friendships, relationships with adults and teachers and developing general good behaviour and high expectations.
All our pupils have an opportunity to do this once a week in their classes. In addition, the Junior School staff members are friendly and approachable so that if and when pupils have personal needs or problems we aim to work positively with pupils to achieve the desired behaviour and attitude that creates healthy, life-long learners.
In addition, the Junior School focuses on developing leadership attributes among the children and PSHE time is often a forum in which these attributes are discussed and further developed. Children learn about the major religions of the world including main festivals and beliefs.
