Art and craft stimulate creativity and imagination, it provides visual tactile and sensory experiences and a unique way of understanding and responding to the world. KS2 pupils used colour, form, texture, pattern and different material and processers to communicate what they feel, see, and think. Through creative activities they learned to make informed value judgements and esthetic practical decisions, becoming actively involved in making our school corridors colorful and attractive. They used a variety of resources to learn about artists and their creations. They also explored cultural differences in art. In spite of inhibitions persistently influencing this children, their exuberance and adventurous spirit constantly surfaces and as a result they produce very expressive work. Designing, collage, ink-work, sketching, painting, constructing 3D clay models are some of the techniques that they have been learning.
