Fun in Playgroup!

Playgroup at BSC is a wonderful space for exploration and adventure. Through playful activities such as storytelling, imaginative play and interactive games, the children experience the joy of play whilst engaging in valuable learning experiences. Our amazing EYFS practitioners ensure that every interaction becomes a chance to discover, share, and collaborate, making learning in Playgroup lots of fun.   

Physical Development

Indoor and outdoor activities are carefully planned to ensure that the children develop excellent gross and fine motor skills. These activities lay the foundations for cognitive development and tasks such as writing and drawing.

Personal, Social and Emotional Development

In playgroup we spend lots of time developing the children’s personal, social, and emotional skills as we know that this is crucial for their overall well-being and future success. We create a positive learning environment, build strong relationships, and promote self- awareness and self-regulation. Snack time is one of many great opportunities to encourage independence and teach social skills.

Communication and Language

 A huge focus in Playgroup is on developing strong communication and language skills in all our learners. Daily song, rhyme, and story time as well as explicit vocabulary teaching, role-play, and lots of opportunities for speaking and listening, allow our children to become fluent and articulate communicators.
