As the new academic year started, students and teachers alike returned to school excited and happy to be reunited after almost six months away from our homely BSC environment. Key Stage 2 students have returned to classes and are physically in school twice a week while completing online lessons the other 3 days. Students quickly adapted to the "new normal" of Covid-19 rules and restrictions, displaying Cambridge learner attributes like confidence and responsibility, ensuring they are always adhering to the rules of health and safety.
Students have had to be particularly innovative through the way they interact and play with one another especially at break times, and students were issued an interesting challenge by Mrs Wells to come up with games that allow for social distancing but fun at the same time! It has been great to see new games like 'shadow tag' and 'social distance catches' emerge.
At the heart of our school is student wellbeing and as teachers have been regularly checking in with their students, it has been wonderful to see such a positive, keen response from students to being back in their physical classroom. Our students' enthusiasm, resilience and ability to adapt and be flexible in these different times is highly commended and reflective of the BSC spirit.
