We are going on a bug hunt

In Playgroup B, we have really enjoyed making our own ladybird out of rocks: we were able to add eyes and spots. We aimed to instill curiosity and fascination by showing the children that a wide variety of insects are harmless and can be found almost anywhere. Playing with the different sizes of bugs has been a highlight and of course they taught us all many things.

Lots of questions were asked such as, where did you find them? What colour? And do they have wings? There have been a lot of interesting tasks to complete and the children have loved sharing what they already knew and what they have learned.
