There was going to be no other outcome but that the Year 4 Bake Sale was going to be the huge success. As soon as word got out, the ‘baking’ started for the students who came in last Friday in the morning, 11th May 2018, laden with goodies, sweet and savoury, to accomplish a goal – making money for a worthy charitable cause.
Momentum built up through the week with the students creating mouth-watering sketches and drawings of food items on posters advertising for the sale.
On the morning of the event, there was a frantic last minute hitch when friends from Reception, keen not to be left out of the action, promptly noticed and alerted the Year 4s that there had been no slots allocated to them to come and contribute to the communal effort. Quick adjustments were made to the schedule and hey, presto - a handsome total was collected and a fun day was had by all.
Well done for all the brilliant sale pitches made by many in Year 4 to get their ‘wares’ sold!
