Year 6's current science unit is 'Food chains' and in this topic the pupils have been looking at the feeding relationship between plants and animals in various environments and ecosystems. They have learned to draw a food chain and have investigated food chains in our school environment.
One of the most important aspects of the food chain is the producer and Year 6 has been investigating what plants need to grow. Pupils have enjoyed recording the daily results and seeing their plants grow (or not grow) depending on the variable!
