The Commerce Non-uniform Day

The Commerce Society members and the Commerce Department of BSC organized a non-uniform day on Friday 8^th December. This year’s theme for the Commerce non-uniform day was ‘Dress as Your Favorite Movie /TV Character’. It was simply wonderful to see all our students in their creative best, dressed up as TV or Movie icons that they admire the most. Students were seen in outfits ranging from Harry Potter, James Bond, Super Man costumes to Cartoon characters such as Mickey Mouse, Ben Ten and Big Bird.

The team spirit and the sense of enthusiasm displayed by our Commerce students in planning and organizing the Non-Uniform day was really impressive. They carried out a good propaganda program regarding the event, about 10 days prior to the Non-Uniform Day.

All the funds raised from the non-uniform day will be used for the annual Commerce department charity project. The funds will be spent on buying lifesaving Cancer medicine as well as gifts for the young patients of the Maharagama Apeksha Cancer Hospital. This is the fourth consecutive year that BSC’s Commerce students are organizing this charity project.
