UN DAY 2017

The British School in Colombo celebrated United Nations Day on October 20th 2017.

This important annual event highlights and celebrates the diversity of our student body and the different cultures in the school community. On this day students attend school in their country’s national attire. 

This year, a celebration assembly took place in the auditorium with a Junior School choir performance and a cultural dance performance. This was followed by the International Food Festival organised by the PTA. The countries represented in the food festival had planned interactive games, tiny giveaways and other information to share with the children. As part of the day’s celebration each year group chose a continent and arranged a carousel of activities based on their country of choice.
