BSC Scientists made final preparations this week for the International Science Camp taking place at the National University of Singapore next week. This year’s delegates will be representing the British School in Colombo for the fourth consecutive year. Indeed, BSC has been represented at this event since its inception.
At the National University of Singapore, our Science students will have the opportunity to carry out practical experiments in state of the art laboratories and be taught by leading practitioners in the field. As well as the practical and academic experiences, our students will also participate in a range of competitions and quizzes and we hope that this year’s delegates will being back more medals to add to our growing collection of medals brought home from Singapore in the past!
This is an outstanding opportunity of our students, who will receive their first taste of undergraduate life on a world class campus. We are delighted that our students have decided to take this ‘hands-on’ opportunity to develop and widen their scientific experiences as they look toward their own higher studies at A Level or university.
The NUS experience brings great depth to the personal statement writing for our students as they are able to draw on practical and academic experiences.
Bring on NUS Year 4!
