Many congratulations to the amazing girls of BSC’s Under 13 basketball team for putting a massive amount of effort and time to provide BSC’s basketball team with the memorable title of 3rd place winners for the Under 13 TISSL tournament. The girls managed to progress as group winners by winning both their group matches. They surpassed Asian international school by 38 to 12 and then tirelessly won against Lyceum International school Rathnapura by 38 to 4. Unhindered, the girls won their quarter finals against Lyceum International school Wattala by a score of 22 to 4. A special mention to Thooba and Kikini for leading their peers through the fierce matches. The girls made it to the Semi-finals and unfortunately lost by one point, however continued to show immense sportsmanship and fearlessness in their consolation finals, where they won against Colombo International school with a score of 7 to 5.
BSC’s Under 13 girls’ basketball team acquired this momentous achievement with their hard work, determination, and dedication to the sport. Every one of our team’s players deserves this honourable title. I am certain that these players will become even more spectacular players with this experience and more experiences that will follow in the future.
