9C Class Assembly

THE ASSEMBLY

The students of 9C conducted a class assembly on Tuesday 16 May 2023. The topic for the assembly ‘WHAT IS BULLYING?’ was chosen to bring out the importance of knowing what bullying is. The script about 4 types of bullying was written by the students and the play was directed by them providing a role to each student in the class. The whole idea was presented by two narrators with an act to clarify what each type of bullying is.

During the class assembly, students discussed the definition of bullying and why it is important to address it.

They highlighted that bullying could take various forms, including physical and verbal aggression, as well as cyberbullying. The students emphasized the importance of addressing bullying for several reasons: promoting emotional well-being, fostering academic success, building empathy and kindness, and creating safe spaces where everyone feels respected and included. They encouraged students to treat others with kindness, stand up against bullying, and seek support from trusted adults when needed.

THE QUIZ

Before concluding the assembly, the students conducted a Kahoot quiz on bullying for which three teams participated (7ABCD, 8ABCD AND 9ABCD) and the Year 8 team won the Kahoot Quiz!

Finally, the KS3 students were reminded about the ‘LET’S TALK’ team, to whom they could go and talk about if they are bullied or any other circumstances. The assembly ended with a reminder that by working together, they can make a positive impact and create a world free from bullying.

The students thoroughly enjoyed writing the script, directing and delivering their lines to the KS3 audience. Well done 9C!
