#TeamBSC have had such a successful summer where they participated at the Law Faculty debates over Zoom and established their teams and brushed up on their skills.
This past weekend the Sri Lankan Debating circuit started with their Debating Season again, where the following students represented BSC with pride:
- Dhanika Nawinne
- Senruni Abeywickrema
- Wineth De Zoysa
- Shae Gajabahu
- Avinash Van Dort
- Oneli Palipanne
- Imadh Mashoor
They saw some great successes, having defeated some very tough teams such as Museaus College A, Visakha A and Gateway College. Overall, out of 50 participating teams, BSC ranked 16th, which is good start to the season, seeing as how our teams are fairly new on the circuit and still in training.
Congratulations to Imadh for ranking very high on individual speaker scores and well done to Shanelle and Theruni for giving our teams the support they needed. I am excited for their future successes where they climb that ladder to reach top 5 soon!
I especially enjoyed the dedication they exhibited during the weeks of training online which preceded this tournament. Team BSC: Always on the quest for greatness. We next look forward to the upcoming competitions on the Debating Calendar!
