Fun in Year 1 on Science Day

Year 1 children had a lot fun on Science Day. They were engaged in working scientifically using their senses to gather information about an object or event while asking questions and collecting evidence through observation. They enjoyed formulating assumptions or possible explanations based upon observations and predicting the most likely outcome of a future event based upon a pattern of evidence.

These are some of the fun activities we did:

Can you create a tornado in a bottle?                                                

 Can you catch a gas?    

Is it soluble or insoluble? 

Can you separate sand from salt?
