The heart of BSC lies within the hundreds of students who enter the school every day. Every student comes to school focused, engaged and eager to learn and participate in a range of extra-curricular activites.
Year 6 pupils Dylan and Imaan, who have been at BSC since they were 3 years old, have taken some time to reflect on their time so far in the Junior School, from Early Years to Upper Key Stage 2.
Dylan & Imaan:
BSC is very special because of all the fun learning activities we do in class. We remember decorating masks in Year 3, and we trying hard to scare the teachers.
Trips
The wonderful trips we had were superb, especially in Year 5 when we went to Weligama. We enjoyed the speedboat, body boarding, snorkeling and kayaking. It was an amazing experience. In Year 4, we went to the museum and it was wonderful staring at the ancient crowns and the clothing was really super cool! In Key Stage One and Early Years we had visits to various supermarkets and picnics at Independence Square and Ape Gama.
Teamwork
The best fun are the teamwork and the fun activities we do together with our friends and peers which are unforgettable!
Teachers
We were very fortunate to have many loving and welcoming class teachers. The teachers plan interesting lessons for us and we have a lot of fun while learning!
Into the future
As we enter our last year in the Junior School, we are a little scared and anxious, but we are excited at the same time. We are looking forward to all the adventures and opportunities in Year 6 and Senior School!
Happy 25th Birthday, BSC!
