Chinese New Year Celebration at BSC

5th February 2019 started the Chinese New Year also known as Chinese Spring Festival. BSC senior school students celebrated Chinese New Year by presenting an assembly one week prior and followed by the Chinese new year greetings “Guo Nian Hao”. The MFL Department Hallways filled with Chinese New Year decorations and students received Hongbao (Red envelops with treats) from the mandarin teachers by saying “Guo Nian Hao” to the teachers.

In China, the celebration for Chinese New Year lasts for fifteen days full of family togetherness, new-year performances and tasty foods. This year is the Year of Pig according to the Chinese Zodiac system.
