A group of intrepid year 10's and 11's set off for Hanthana last weekend.
Having pulled themselves out of bed to be in school for a 0430 meet at school they arrived at the expedition site late morning.
They spent the weekend practicing navigation skills and camp craft. Along with several hours worth of hiking.
Here is what our Silver-level adventurers say about their experiences:
Ashan Deen, 11C
The journey has made me reflect on my weaknesses and strengths and become aware of what I have to improve. The journey has also tested my fitness and the skills of my teamwork, leadership, organization, and independence. Not the least of all, it has made me appreciate nature and the beauty of it.
