STEM Club

This term the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Club has been having fun looking at Waves, Rockets and Fire.

Rubens tube

Students worked in Pairs Researching the History, how it works and how to build a Rubens Tube. The basic premise is its use in representing Sound Waves.

Flaming hands

Students were shown how to safely set their hands on fire without burning themselves (Safety warning: do not try this at home without a trained adult about) .

Water Rockets

BSC’s water rocket launcher once again made an appearance. Using nothing but water and air students are able to launch plastic bottle rockets.
