Science is fun with Science Circus

As a part of our Science Curriculum, Year 1 children were engaged in working scientifically through observing, describing and naming a variety of different materials from their environment. They looked at the features of materials while asking questions and collecting evidence through observation.

The children enjoyed investigating materials through different science circus activities, where they actively participated in groups to achieve various objectives, such as:

Sorting a variety of objects helped them to be aware of different types of materials in their environment.

Children made playdough to understand how materials change when they are mixed together.  

Predictions were made by the learners in order to explore properties of materials..
