Each week the children are provided with opportunities to participate in various sensory activities. This week the children enjoyed using their hands to examine dry leaves, stones and sand along with wooden wild animals.
Playgroup thoroughly enjoyed exploring the animals in the sensory tub. The children demonstrated their thoughts about different animals and were inquisitive to learn more. They were given the opportunity to explore, experiment, observe, understand the world and manipulate while increasing their fine and gross motor control, hand eye coordination, mathematical and communication skills. Also, during the time of the activity they interacted with each other, which helped them learn to share and cooperate among peers, while building their vocabulary.
We have enjoyed learning through play and we look forward to planning in more exciting activities in the near future.
