Monday 27th August heralded the start of the new academic year in a special Induction Day for Years 7 and Year 12 respectively.
BSC’s Induction Days are designed to ensure that students who join the School as new members of the Senior School in Year 7 or as new post-16 students in Year 12 have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the day-to-day running of the Senior School, collect all necessary stationary and equipment as well as to meet key staff members who will play a significant role in supporting them throughout this academic year and the years ahead. Students were also given the opportunity to finalise their academic schedules for each day with their Form Tutors.
In the afternoon, all students began their new timetables, meeting some of the teachers they will be working closely with throughout the year. Our Induction Days ended with Parent-Form Tutor Meetings; an important opportunity to make initial contact with members of staff who will be overseeing all areas of their students’ personal and academic progress.
Year 7 and Year 12 must be congratulated for an excellent Induction Day!
