The MUN Society were fortunate enough to have met with UN Officials at the UN Headquarters in Colombo on Tuesday, 21st November, 2017. This meeting was a result of our Society’s vision to move in a more active direction when it comes to engaging in work that United Nations actually completes. During the course of this meeting, Avantha, Saskia, Saanya and Chaanya discussed their ideas and proposals for projects that #BSCMUN are looking to initiate and complete, to move past just participating in MUN Conferences only, and to actually be a part of the change that the UN is known to create the world over.
We look forward to working closely with the UN and also to giving our younger MUN students more exposure to the inner workings of an organization geared towards doing good, not just in Sri Lanka, but globally!
Building on this positivity and success, BSCMUN attended the COMUN 2018 Workshop this past weekend at OSC, and have embarked on their MUN Conference journey with renewed energy and the usual dose of enthusiasm and zest.
I would like to congratulate our President, Avantha Jayasinghe, for leading the Society with so much vision and dedication, and would also like to welcome on board Mr. Rob Champion who will be accompanying me in helping our Society move forward. We have yet another exciting and educational year ahead of us!
