It was exciting to see youngsters compete in numerous international maths competitions during the pandemic period. We have a group of very talented students who competed against many mathematicians from across the world. It helps them understand the subject matter thoroughly and sharpens their minds in preparation for aptitude and competitive exams. Participating in Olympiads boosts students' self-esteem and motivates them to work hard to attain their goals. When students challenge themselves to step outside of their comfort zone and desire to learn more and master themselves, subjects become interesting to learn. Olympiads encourage students to push themselves ahead and generate new ideas. Students competed in various international competitions hosted by The Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA), The Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO) and the Waterloo University Canada Mathematical competitions.
