The Senior School has embarked on updating the existing curriculum to meet and address the concerns and needs of our youth in their personal, social, health and moral education (PSHME).
The curriculum revision for Years 7 -13 began in the Lent Term this year. The Summer Term has been spent in consultations with various stakeholders to ensure relevancy of themes and content covered in the curriculum.
On Wednesday 6th June 2018, the first student focus group meeting was held with members of Grassrooted. The outcomes from this meeting will guide our curriculum developers to ensure that we are prepared and equipped to address the needs of our student body across the year groups as relevantly and as effectively as possible. Nine student volunteers from Year 10 and 12 participated in the meeting.
The British School in Colombo is committed to empowering youth to be good leaders of tomorrow who make right choices and informed decisions for a healthy, safe and productive lifestyle. The new interactive and engaging PSHME curriculum will be in effect from the next academic year.
