The Senior School has had a very busy End of Year Examination period this week, with Year 7, 8 and 9 students completing their examinations at the beginning of the week and Year 10 students returning to their normal timetables on Thursday following their busy period of Examinations to end the first year of their IGCSE courses. I know that this has been a very busy and important time for all students and I look forward to welcoming them all back to their normal routines.
As all exam papers are being marked, teachers in the Senior School are busy collating End of Year Reports that will be released to parents before the end of the Summer Term, via the Parent Portal. I remind all parents that if you have any difficulty accessing the Parent Portal, please do contact out the Head of our IT Team, Mr Sujee, on: [email protected] .
As I type, the end of term seems to be fast approaching! We look forward to the planned Activities Days that take place on Monday 18th, Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th June. I know that there is a wonderful range of opportunities planned and this time is always a very enjoyable one. I remind parents that students must return the Activities Option Sheets to Ms Nirasha urgently if they have not already done so.
The final preparations for the annual Year 13 Graduation Ceremony are well under way. This takes place in the Auditorium on Friday 21st June at 1.00pm. Parents have already been sent details of the special arrangements for the Graduation Ceremony as school will end at 12.15pm for students in Years 7, 8 and 9 (unless they are participating as a member of the Choir). Students in Years 10, 11 and 12 are expected to attend in their Formal Uniform. This is always a very special occasion as our leavers look toward the next stage of their personal journeys. This year, we are delighted to welcome Mr Thilan Wickramasinghe , a member of the British School’s Alumni, as our Chief Guest.
