WATERLOO UNIVERISTY MATHEMATICS CONTEST 2018

The British School in collaboration with the Center for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC), University of Waterloo Canada, conducted the International Mathematics Contest recently. The CEMC develops and administers many internationally recognized contests to help to inspire the next generation of students to develop their ability in and passion for Mathematics.

The Fryer Maths contest was held for Year 10, Galois for year 11 and the Hypatia Maths Contest for year 12. It was conducted on Thursday 13th of April 2018. Twenty-two students took part in this competition this year. This was a fun way to develop mathematical problem solving skills through a range of written mathematical activities.

The Gauss Contests for students in years 7, 8 and 9 will take place on Thursday 17th May 2018. There are 46 students who are registered for this competition
