The EYFS Sports Day was a wonderful event, full of festive fun, as every activity followed the Christmas theme that was chosen for this time of year. Playgroup, the youngest children, were clearly well-prepared and there were smiles on the faces of everyone taking part – including the parents of course. The class events were so super and lovely to watch! The staff were delighted that everything went so well, as lots of the children are not yet three years old.
The Pre-Reception events were characterised by a warmth and a fun-filled set of activities that everyone enjoyed. The flat race was a nail-biting event, with the children running as fast as they could. The class events were such great fun and there were all sorts of Christmas activities on show.
The Reception part of the sports day was the culmination of a lot of practice and a lot of focus. The relay race between the classes was keenly competitive and was a closely-fought event. The class events were brilliant to watch and the children were really enjoying their time in the limelight.
In each part of the day there were teacher and parent races, where the staff were in competition with representatives of the audience taking part. The children enjoyed watching the teachers run against their parents and it was a fitting conclusion to a lovely day.
