Novel Knockout, a reading competition organised by the English Department in collaboration with the Senior School library, was flagged-off on Tuesday 28th March in the library Mazzanine with a presentation, discussion and activities in connection with the novel ‘Good Night Mr Tom’ to year 7 and 8 students.
The aim of this challenge is to encourage students to read a wider range of novels and to create an interest in some tried and tested favourites such as Roald Dahl’s “Boy”, David Almond’s “Skellig” and James Vance Marshall’s “Walkabout” by re-circulating them among students. The finalists of this Knockout will face-off each other in an exciting quiz to be held on 16th May, to coincide with Book Week.
