Tenara De Silva currently representing the National Women´s Chess Team at The 43rd Chess Olympiad

Tenara De Silva in Year 13D is currently representing the National Women´s Chess Team at The 43rd  Chess Olympiad, Batumi 2018 Georgia. Tenara has been performing exceptionally well so far winning 3 games and getting a draw in one game. Tenara was able to defeat WGM Sarah Hoolt whose rating is close to 600 points above hers in the fourth round. This was a remarkable achievement as it was the only victory of the Sri Lankan team in that round and considering the fact that Sri Lanka ranked 91st in the world played against Germany Team which is ranked 9th in the world.

Last month Tenara represented the national team at World Junior Chess Championship in Turkey and She was able to increase her chess Fide Ratings. Currently she is the Number 1 ranker in the Women's Fide Ratings List in Sri Lanka.
