My name is Yusuf Abdulhussein and I graduated BSC in 2011. Since then I attended the University of New South Wales where I studied a Bachelors of Mechatronic Engineering.
I was on the Dean's Honors List every year of my programme and graduated with First Class Honours. At university, I took part in various extra-curricular activities including basketball, cricket, mentoring high school students and I was a member of the Sri Lankan Society.
I graduated university in 2015 and moved to Melbourne where I got a job as a Project Engineer for a small company called ALS Technologies, that designs and manufactures industrial furnaces. My job involves consulting with clients and then designing and drawing up electrical schematics as well as programming PLCs to automate their system.
I am currently 4 months into my job and as much as it is a steep learning curve, I am enjoying the work as it allows me to travel around the world for work and allows me to strengthen my technical and practical skills.
