Mr Simon Harwood - Director of Alumni Relations

As a teacher of English and Drama since 1994, Mr Harwood obtained his PGCE in English and Drama from the University of London Institute of Education. An experienced Head of English, Drama and Media studies in London, he successfully led his teams through two successful OFSTED inspections.

Mr Harwood joined the British School in Colombo in August 2004 as Key Stage Coordinator for Years 10 and 11 and later as Head of Sixth Form.

As Deputy Principal (Head of Senior School) since 2011 to 2018, he remained passionate about the subjects he taught and determined to provide the best possible learning and personal experiences for the wonderful young people in our care. 

He began his new post as Director of Alumni Relations from the academic Year 2018-19.
