An appreciation and experience of the arts is an essential part of the BSC experience of holistic education for all students.
As members of the four School Houses, all students will be encouraged to participate in a range of creative, artistic and aesthetic events each year including the House Music and House Drama Competitions. Likewise, all students are encouraged to perform at weekly Whole-School and Key Stage Assemblies.

There are also large scale performances and musical events that take place throughout each year that showcase the exceptional abilities of BSC students as actors, dancers and singers.
We are proud to acknowledge that the Choir of the British School in Colombo are asked to lead the annual Christmas Carols evening at the British High Commissioner’s residence. BSC’s performers participate in a range of dramatic and musical competitions of national repute.
